MEMBERS ONLY HUNTING

For nearly a century, Yorkana Game & Gunning Club has upheld a strong hunting heritage while maintaining responsible wildlife management practices on our grounds. Members enjoy unique privileges to hunt on club property when allowed, offering opportunities to pursue game in a safe and respectful environment.

Each year, hunting privileges are determined democratically to ensure all active members have a voice in the decision-making process. At the June club meeting, a written ballot vote is conducted to decide the upcoming season’s hunting rules.

Only members present at the meeting may cast a ballot, ensuring participation from those actively involved in club activities.

Votes are counted privately by two Board of Directors and two attending members, and results are announced before the meeting adjourns. This transparent process allows our club to balance tradition, conservation, and community input.

Members who participate in the vote and follow club rules can look forward to a season of camaraderie, responsible hunting, and continued enjoyment of the land we proudly manage together.
